My husband is in the Air Force and subscribed to a Vikings Magazine company. Shortly after he recieved a call about getting more magazines and verified his credit card # for what he thought was Viking Magazine and turns out he was making an order with Publishers Guide unbeknown to him. When he deployed and I began working our finances I called to find out why we had 4 magazine companies taking money out of our account. Two of those companies agreed to cancel the subscriptions and Publishers Guide stated we would have to pay a percentage up front to cancel. Close to 600.00 in order to cancel our subscriptions. After speaking with several agents and supervisors there I still had no luck at canceling. The worst part is we are still paying for these magazines we do not read and was threatened that if we don't pay they will take legal actions that can ultimately ruin my husbands career outside of the military. One million thanks from a military famiily trying to get by Publishers Guide.
