Awful experience
|
My experience with Platinum Van Lines has been awful. First, of course, I'm upset about the continuously changing *binding* quote. Before committing to Platinum, I told Wesley that "I need to know *exactly* what I'm dealing with, all the hidden charges." We spoke for an hour. I explained there are stairs at the destination, it's on a hill, etc. I told him I searched reviews and Platinum's aren't very good. He explained that was just because people weren't honest about their inventory and situation. I said I want to tell him everything with as much accuracy as possible. So, we ended with a $1290 binding quote. I ended up paying $2800. After committing via check, I *could not* reach Wesley at all with questions (what is a medium box, how should I pack certain things...you know, basic questions). Days of continuos calls, Barbie got back to me. I was so pleased to have someone return my calls. While Barbie continued to return calls, the conversation devolved as the communication within the company devolved, resulting in responses from Barbie that make it hard to believe she works in customer service. My experience with Platinum has been insanely frustrating and unprofessional. I feel sure the company has lost more money than earned with our business exchange as I'll be telling as many people as will listen the details of my horrid experience.
