I was phone canvassed and told that they could modify my Mortgage even though I told them that I had already contacted my lender and was told by them that I didn't qualify. The representative said that the Lender was just putting me off and that I did qualify and they would represent me in the loan modification process. He told me that they knew the process and would be much faster because they worked with my lender frequently. They also let me know that it would be better if I were behind on my mortgage. They said that their fee would be $389.95 for six months but they would have it done in probably three or four months. They began debiting my checking account on August 1,2009 and took the last payment on January 1, 2010. Nationwide Financial continually transferred my account to different representatives ( some representatives names are Henry, Cristy, Jim and at least three others whose names I cannot recall). They finally sent me a letter by email from Jim wazbinski stating " Bank of America is requiring you to call in your financial information. I have attached a copy of the budget that we have been negotiating with Bank of America. Please call them at 888-325-6438 and go over these figures with them. Don't deviate from them." Today's date is October 20,2010 and my modification has yet to be completed. My and lender is working directly with me on a MHA modification I am also six payments behind on my mortgage.
