Unrelieable - Poor Quality - Damages to existing property

Lamont presents a good plan but when executing everything falls apart. It has taken him over 3 weeks to install 18 cabinets, shows up at 9 am and leaves at 1, promising everything will be done the next day. In 3 weeks he has completed nothing: not the electrical, the plumbing, the cabinets are not installed completely, the sink side is not secuured and the counter tops installers are coming in a few days. He has repeatedly stated he would do something the following day then failed to show up sending some of the most ilarious and straight lie text messages I have even encountered in a professional setting. In addition, his workers stole lapms attached to previous cabinets wihtoug asking. When confronted, they produced them 2 days later broken and not usable.
Last Friday he stated he would be back to finish a long list of pending items (per plan) then texted in the morning that he could not come. He has done the same identical trick this morning though he agreed last night to come and finish before the counter installers are here.
He was supposed to fix cracks in the ceilings but only did part of them leaving half of the kitchen with one texture and the other hald with another texture. The lighting is partially installed but not wired to the main panel. THis was supposed to be done first according to his own plan (end of week 3 and still not done, "tomorrow" is the repeating mantra).
They leave the work side without notice either locked or completely opened. Yesterday they left the gas on and we almost blew up the house 4 hours later when went back into the kitchen.
THere are several dents in the stainless steel appliances, scratches on the new cabinets and flooring.
He appears to hire low cost workers that do not know what they are doing. Worst he gave us a plan and every day changed it and never came through with what he said he would do. He required a very high interim payment (70%) justified on material and paying his crew to finish last week, but to date he is barely accomplished 45%-50% of the proejct and he is leaving town tomorrow for a week while the counter installers will be here forcing us to find someone else to get these cabinets properly anchored and level not to delay the instalation furhter. Seems like he is just another one of those "will do" contractors that overpromises, underdelivers but most importantly requires high deposit/prepayment $ and does not finish his job. One additional detail: He was supposed to removed the trash from the demolition 2 fridays ago, after several altercations he finally got it done yesterday. I strongly reccomend using someone else. Mr. Thorton has too much to juggle and does not hire quality workers (they stole items from us). Appears disorganized and just a good liar.
