Hired in May 2006 to complete whole house remodel and 173 sq. foot add-on. Started off great, good referal to architect and engineer, advice on permit process, design suggestions and ideas. However, financial problems from the get go. Very large deposit to begin job, delays in breaking ground, poured foundation for add-on then did not visit job for several weeks while we had the back of our home open to the elements during Fall/Winter. Always needing more money to continue working. Delayed or failed to return phone calls. Constant excuses as to why things were not proceeding as planned. Always laid blame on subcontractors, inspector for the city, suppliers, other clients, family obligations, health problems, etc. You name it, we heard it. Our biggest mistake was paying him in advance for work not yet completed. He assured us he would complete job, but it is now July of 2008 and several items remain incomplete. We are now discovering problems with poor workmanship as well. He has severed all communication and we plan on hiring other contractors to complete or repair his work. We have only ourselves to blame for being too trusting, but caution others not to fall into the same trap.
