Group One Construction is combative, litigious and difficult to work with. The owner is charming when courting customers, sending bottles of Silver Oak wine and boasting about how much he's saved prior customers. Many of the jobs he cites as his own were
from a company he was employed by, not Group One. And that employer sued him — and got a jury verdict against him — for theft of company data. This is documented and can be found on the Internet, Google SAN JOSE CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. v. FOUST. The owner is
very polished. He'll suggest upgrades, start the work, and hit the customer with the cost later on. If there's a mistake by Group One... no, they're perfect, the customer's always wrong. Please be careful if you are considering retaining Group One.
