Not a reputable moving company

May 2012. I scheduled the move more than a month in advance to save money. I was given a great quote, and paid in full prior to my move. The great rate is what made me choose their company. On my move out day they showed up at 9:30 at night and were there until after midnight. They ended up charging me $600 more for my move (1/3rd the moving cost). No additional items. When I called for redress, Great American Van Lines told me that "The movers gave me a new quote that I agreed to so why are we discussing this." I had the right to decline the movers new quote (not to mention the movers told me to call in the morning), but who in their right mind is going to cancel a scheduled move 1 day away. Great American Van Lines did not take any owner ship for their completely false quote, the extremely late pick and the additional charges incurred. Said that my inventory list was not given to them accurately, I assure all that read this that my inventory list was spot on. When I originally posted this review, Tony the manager called to refund my money so he could say that I was not a customer of theirs. No refund was made. My items were moved along 2 other moving companies and most of my furniture is damaged. Now I am dealing with the claims department. I will NEVER recommend this company, in fact a claim will be made with the better business bureau. I SCHEDULED MY MOVE WITH GREAT AMERICAN VAN LINES AND THEY CONTRACTED WITH OTHER MOVING COMPANIES PER THEIR NORMAL BUSINESS PROTOCOLS. I PAID GREAT AMERICAN VAN LINES AND I HAVE THE CREDIT CARD RECEIPT TO PROVE IT. MY ORIGINAL QUOTE AND CONTACT WAS/IS WITH GREAT AMERICAN VAN LINES. THIS IS ANOTHER ATTEMPT FOR THE MANAGER/TONY TO GET MY NEGATIVE REVIEW REMOVED.

I have Andy B to direct him to the right company, in which on his contract it states All State Van Lines, not Great American Van Lines, I have also contacted TrustLink Administrator to request actual documentation showing that Great American Van Lines has conducted the move, this customer has relocated with All State Van Lines Not Great American van Lines.
