Pay Back?

Note: I do not recommend the following if you are not a New York State resident. Cash Jar, as well as all payday loan companies, are forbidden to operate and collect on loans in New York State. All loans granted by pay-day loan companies in the State of
New York are invalid as of this year. Gov. Cuomo signed a bill into law brought forth by the state senate earlier this year that forbids all pay-day lenders from operating and/or collecting on loans in New York State. My Story... I had applied for a $1000.00
loan from cash jar earlier this year and was granted this loan. After accepting this loan and after reading all the negative reviews, I decided to close my bank account. I was afraid they were going to rip me off. Well, they never had a chance to collect.
Anyway, to make a long story short, as soon as I defaulted on the loan the phone calls started. After reading about the laws that were enacted in my state capital of Albany earlier this year, I decided to get copies of the law and all related documentation
and shove it right in cash jar's face! I e-mailed them copies of the law, as well as letters from the NY Attorney General supporting this law and cash jar replied to me that they would just accept the money back that I originally borrowed and they would close
the account. I replied to them that because they are an illegal enterprise operating illegally in my state, that I was not liable to give them a penny and not to expect anything from me. Well, guess it worked. Never heard anything back from them and when I
plug my info into there website a few weeks later, my loan came up as paid in full and I am in good standing with them. Too funny!
