NOT a good experience! I'm trying to recover $361 after a cancellation. I am not optimistic.
Update 051208:
After filing a complaint with labbb.org, explicitly documenting every detail of the events over the last four months, (complete with telephone numbers, dates, names & paraphrased conversations), Auto One did finally provide a total refund. However, without LABBB intevention, I am absolutely certain that Auto One would have kept every penny.
Here's my advice to anyone who thinks that buying an extended warranty from Auto One is a good idea. These people are not selling a service. They're selling a contract that sounds good over the phone but is written in such a way so as to give Auto One the option of saying 'no' at any time. There's no integrity in the provisions of the contract. They're in this game only for your money. They will stone-wall you when you try to cancel (within 60 days of course). They will give you the run-around when you try to file a claim. If you cancel within the 60-day period, save EVERYTHING - the faxes with the dates, the phone numbers, the names of people you talked to. . . EVERYTHING! You'll need every bit of it.
