DO NOT PURCHASE PRODUCTS FROM THIS COMPANY !!! LD4688 lcd television purchased in Nov. 2010 failed in Dec. 2010 (one month exactly!) and it is now 8 April 2011 and nothing but false representation regarding warranty repair/service. Eighth time contacting the APEX warranty phone number today April 8, 2011 and was told by 'William' support for product had been transferred to KCPI (Kith Consumer Products Inc.) for support just 6 days ago (blatant lie as another reviewer had same experience after multiple calls to APEX months ago!) and I would have to contact them for the warranty support. Called the number given for KCPI (888)-824-2950 and the same 'William' with a distinctly Indian accent gave the same response, 'Just settling in and a technician will call within two weeks.'
I'm at a complete loss to understand how the BBB can A+ rate this company when there are more than 120 complaints regarding APEX warranty service. Looks like APEX is getting around the complaint process by offloading the warranty services to KCPI which is not in the BBB data base. There are probably enough plaintiffs to warrant a class action suit! Count me in!
